Personal > Never Had A Girlfriend! (#16679)
I'm coming up to my 22nd birthday and I have never had a girlfriend. Whatever I try girls just are not interested in me. I'm not an ugly guy and I have an athletic body so I can't see it being my physical appearance. I'm fairly confident but can be reserved at times but I have tried to change that and still nothing has happened. I worried about this when I left school but just thought it'll happen and nearly six years on nothing has. My best mate who is on the same footing as me has had 3 since then and is now on his 4th but I don't get it. Every girl I have shown interest in has either ran a mile or had a boyfriend. I've now given up, everyone says it will happen when you least expect it or when your not looking for it but how when its on my mind all the time. There are girls I like but i've given up because i'm sick of finding out that there already taken. you need just act yourself, love does happen when you least expect it (believe me), just take up some new activities or do something to keep your mind of it, im not the greatest looking guy and i hadnt had love for several years then outta the blue love arrived and i dint even expect it. just bide your time as chances are when love does come around she will be really hot and have a nice personality, just be patient and wait =)

im in total agreement with jah. just chill out and get some new activities on the go. stop looking for love, it will hit you in the face when your not expecting it. you really got to be patient, and dont act too eager or a girl will run a mile.

Hey.. don't get hung up about it, the more you worry and look for someone, the more people will be put off, as it might look like you're desperate. I'm 20 (female) and I had the same problem as you up until last year when I finally realised it's not about how many boyfriends/girlfriends you've had, it's about finding that special someone, and that shouldn't be rushed, you'll find it in the end, whether it's in the near or distant future. I've only had one boyfriend, but it didn't work out.. I'd like to think I have a good physical appearance, I have a nice personality.. but hey, the right person isn't always going to be where we want them to be. Just have to wait, same with me =) Good luck xx
