Ex Having A Baby
(#16227)
My ex partner's wife is due to give birth anyday and I just feel like crying but don't know why as I have no feelings for him whatsoever. I felt like this after they got married but it did pass. We have a child together so maybe its that. I just can't seem to overcome this feeling of sadness and thinking I'm going to cry. Its like I've lost something. What is wrong with me?? Why do I feel like this??

Because it should have been you he married, instead you are left on your own with his child. It appears to you that he has 'roses round the door' when you are struggling so much. You have to accept that he is not part of your life and move on.
You can get over this, it takes time, but you can do it and you must for your child's sake.
Spend some money on your appearance and move on.

It is understandable that you feel upset, even if you have no feelings for him anymore. When we are faced with what other people have it sometimes forces us to see what we don't have and that can be hard to deal with at times, occasionally subconscious feelings of loss surface and we have no control over them. How do you feel about your ex's relationship with the child you have together? Do you feel that it will be jeopardized by the arrival of his new child? Ask these questions of yourself and if you don't like the answers you find then take steps to do something about it.
Take some time to think about yourself, give yourself an afternoon of pampering the next time you get a chance. There is nothing wrong with you, you are human and part of the human condition is to have emotions, and to be perfectly honest I don't know a single person who can say they have understood every emotion they have ever had especially in difficult situations.
Explore your emotions and really think about exactly how things make you feel, it will start to make sense to you soon, promise.
If you need any more advice don't hesitate to ask.
